Happy Friday, friends! First up on my list of FAVORITES is our family vacation! We've been in Boston and Cape Cod this week having so much fun. I've been sharing bits and pieces over on IG and will be sharing all the details here starting next week.

Five Follows Part IV

 Sharing some of my favorite IG follows in case you want to mix up your feed a little bit.  I LOVE following fun and interesting accounts to keep my scrolling interesting, uplifting, and FUN!.  Here we go!

My life couldn't be more different than Jack Kinsey but everything he posts is so special and unique and whimsical.  He's uber-creative and incredibly talented and I always find myself watching his content at least twice to take it all in.

Cheeseburger Sliders

I always like to try out what I call "school night dinners" during the summer to up my repertoire of meals that are quick, minimal cleanup, and that all of my kids will be excited about.  These sliders were all of those things PLUS they're something my kids can make start-to-finish on their own which is a bonus.  

Photo Memories

I take A LOT of photos.  Like a lot a lot.  The struggle I sometimes have is getting them off of my phone/memory card and into print because there's NOTHING better than flipping through printed photos.

Reading Recap

Y'all.  I have a bold statement to make and I'm not making it lightly.  I think that The Rose Code might be my favorite book of all time. I listened to it on audible and I couldn't get enough.  It had everything that I love...two timelines, remarkable women, historical accuracy mixed with fun fictional parts, etc.  I had no idea about what went on at Bletchley Park during WWII and I felt like I learned so much.  The women in the book were real and endearing and raw and I laughed and cried multiple times.  I loved that this book highlighted the "boths" in life... how there can be both heartbreak and joy simultaneously and at the end of the book I kept thinking how this generation really was the best.  I know that this book is LONG and lots of people have "given up" on it and to that I'd say LISTEN ON AUDIBLE!!! It was read beautifully and really brought the women to life and so if you tried reading it and couldn't get into it just TRY the audiobook.

... Wednesdays are rest days for XC and so the high school kids meet and do a Bible study.  They were at Starbucks getting started when their old coach (who moved last year) dropped in to surprise them. 

Plant Tour Part 2

 I started a "Plant Tour" series back in FEBRUARY with the intention of doing three parts in three weeks and well - here we are ;) Let's pick up where we left off.  Our dining room faces the same direction as our living room and front hall but doesn't get quite as much light. 

On the dining table I have a polka dot begonia in the vintage swan planter...

Summer Declutter 2025

It's time, y'all.  Every summer I do a big "declutter" where I use the extra time to purge our house of outgrown clothes, clutter, and other items that have accumulated over the year.  It's a time to reset and reorganize.  It feels productive and helps me start the school year feeling on top of things at home.  It's honestly one of my favorite summer traditions. hahaha

Bang Bang Chicken Skewers

I came across this recipe on IG and decided to give it a go and MY WORD it is so so so good.  We've made it once a week for at least a month and had my parents over this week and grilled them for them as well.  The leftovers are equally tasty and you may want to drink the sauce!

Happy Friday, friends! First up on my list of FAVORITES are "dirty Dr. Peppers". We don't typically drink soda BUT my kids do love a Texas Tab from Swig so we decided to give it a try at home and they're a new FAVORITE treat.
